The Blue Colonel Platinum pattern from Spode is a Chinese design from the 15th Century. It's pattern name is from Colonel Alfred Copeland, and amateur archeologist who excavated a fragment of this stunning pattern on the Silk Route in Persia in the 1870's. The white fine bone china is graced with ornate blue flowers and finished with a fine platinum rim.
